Abstract:
As global demographics shift toward an older population, organizations face the dual challenge of managing an aging internal workforce while addressing the needs of a senior-dominated marketplace. This paper explores the management strategies required to foster organizational resilience through the effective integration of senior human capital. We examine the transition from traditional retirement-centric policies to "active aging" frameworks that prioritize knowledge retention and longitudinal talent development. The study utilizes a qualitative assessment of several mid-sized corporate entities, evaluating the efficacy of flexible working arrangements and inter-generational mentorship programs. Our research identifies that organizations embracing age-diverse management practices report higher levels of operational stability and internal knowledge transfer. The findings provide a strategic roadmap for managers to leverage the experience of senior employees as a competitive advantage rather than a liability. By focusing on workplace ergonomics and adaptive career paths, firms can ensure long-term sustainability in a changing demographic landscape.
